It was nearly a year ago, on the 4th of July, when the sense of crisis sprang from the well – the pump house at my home. We have listened, and paid attention to the self-expression of Water, the Source and symbol of Life–the Feminine. She Identified herself as The Blue Water Goddess (saying her real name was too holy to say), to my friend who originally heard her first messages, and related urgently that she was trapped, and needed to be set free.
What does this mean? What do we do? The experience was so profound, that she lead us to the source of the crisis, an ancient culture that took the lead on the repression of the Feminine. To Greece. There we saw it clearly. It was followed by ages of Death, Violence, Slavery and War on the Feminine and all Goddess Cultures of our Ancestors.
While in Greece, we felt lead to many sacred sites, including an ancient cave in Delphi and the Island of Patmos, formerly known through surviving myth, as Letois, the creation of Artemis. Her sacred island there later suffered humiliating desecration by the Roman Empire who used it as a prison for Roman exiles. And St John, who later in the cave womb of the Mother herself, dreamt the Apocalypse, or the total destruction of Mother Earth herself. What a contrast to the life affirming visions of the Mother Goddess. Now a huge looming cathedral has overtaken the site of what was once Artemis’ bright and elegant feminine temple. Remains are barely visible and mostly just a site of desecration, litter and shattered glass. Read my previous “Awakening Artemis” post HERE.
As I arrived in Athens, my friend greeted me giving me a rare and beautiful blue crystal she had purchased that afternoon in Athens, one for each of us. To both of us, this blue crystal represented the Blue Water Goddess. We used it while in Greece doing many sacred ceremonies at sites where we were guided to unwind the patriarchy and awaken the feminine in all her aspects and awaken the Mother in every man, woman, and child on our planet. I have kept this blue crystal on my altar.
Often my meditations at the site of the Blue Water Goddess are filled with pure silence other times she speaks clearly and gives me messages. Late last March I received a clear message about how she wanted the well house to be beautified on April 11th –my birthday. She communicated she wanted an image of the Blue Water Goddess, a whale, turtle, heart, the sun, a rainbow, ocean waves painted on the outside. The inside would be painted later and she wanted a huge full moon painted on the full moon, stars, and ocean waves painted. Later still she asked me to paint the tears of Tara to represent the compassion that fills the oceans. All of this feels like representations of her through these symbols on the building. So we have honored her wishes. This sacred spot is now known as the Blue Water Goddess Temple. Other people have experienced visions when walking into this temple. It is a place that is now open to the community to come and meditate Monday through Thursday 12:22 to dusk.
Through following the instructions of the Blue Water Goddess I prepared a ritual to symbolize the Awakening of the Feminine on Summer Solstice, 2014. She guided me to have the painting on the temple finished by the solstice and many other instructions. I gathered some dear women friends of my heart for this ceremony. Those who couldn’t attend were called in by name. There were two parts to the ceremony.
Part One of the Ceremony—the Birthing. Through ceremony I reenacted my experience at the Stargate of Amara Muru at Lake Titicaca (which holds the feminine pole on our planet), last October 2012 and the Birth of our Golden Self and the Golden Age of Humanity. Part of this ceremony was a cleansing and purification through water- bathing, a guided mediation of sacred union of our masculine and feminine and also with our beloved, the pregnancy and birth of our golden self and the Golden Age of humanity. I had been given clear guidance to share this experience with others. Previous Article: Amaru Muru, Birthing the Golden Age of Humanity. November 2012. And that is what I am doing.
Part Two of the Ceremony –the Awakening. Awakening the Feminine, the Blue Water Goddess within who urges to be set free in us in all her aspects: the Mother, the Virgin (meaning whole unto herself), the Loving Kind and Wise Crone, the Fierce Solar Feminine, the Lover, the Shaman, the Warrior, the Wild Huntress, the Creatrix of New Life, New Thoughts and Beliefs, New Worlds and all the other Feminine parts that have been repressed along the ages. Each participant- each woman’s wisdom and voice throughout all aspects of the ceremony was a vital facet to the wholeness.
We recognized and honored all paths. We honored the ages of her seemingly forever-deep slumber. We forgave the patriarchy for their part of the situation, knowing that this was all perfect and part of the process.
The Blue Water Goddess had communicated for her awakening and ours. She wanted her image, which had been painted on the temple with her eyes closed to now have them painted open! With black permanent marker I painted her eyes open. Every woman participated in illuminating her blue irises and the white of her eyes. Her sleep is ended. She is now wide-awake! And is symbolic for each and every one of us and for the collective. We spontaneously ended by using the remaining blue paint to paint blue eyes on each other’s third eye!
A surprising thing happened that night with the blue crystal from Greece that I had placed on the solstice altar. I carried it back to my house enclosed in a beautiful antique wooden box. The next day when I went to take out the crystal I noticed a huge chunk of crystal had fallen off the rock it was attached to! I had a thought that I needed to fix it to glue it back onto the smooth rock it had been attached to. Then as I held it, more and more pieces off crystal fell off, so the entire rock the crystal was attached to was now bare!
Later I went to the huge hollow oak tree by the labyrinth where I meditated, and I heard clearly that the Blue Water Goddess had given me a sign. The crystal and rock represented how she had let go and is now liberated! In that moment I saw the ways we are nudged and moved into our liberation even though in the moment it may not feel like that. It may feel like we are falling apart. Divorce, parting of ways with people we have loved, or other kinds of loss of relationships or loss of possessions, and other unexpected or even resisted changes. This too is liberating on other levels. We let go of the rock that was the foundation of old beliefs that no longer serve us. Breaking apart is a form of letting go and letting go is liberation. And since change is the only constant, we embrace it and thus we ourselves are re-newed!
It is all perfect because it is what is happening. We let go of our attachment to how it “should” look, and surrender to what simply is. Trust. Just like baby teeth that easily fall out when it is time, so too our Liberation and Awakening happens in Divine and perfect timing.
Heartfelt gratitude to my friend, Jaia Lee, who was at the Solstice Ceremony and touched our hearts playing some of her beautiful songs. The women fell in love with Jaia’s music and were so delighted to find out she had recently released a CD. Much to our surprise one of the women pointed out that just like in our Awakening Ceremony that had just taken place…. on Jaia’s CD on the back cover her eyes are closed and on the front cover and when you open the CD up her eyes are open!! What a beautiful synchronicity!!
Now I’m Back, from the album Pure Divinity by Jaia Lee. Watch HERE
I know this is a song that so many can relate to as well as the feminine as a collective! Thank you for your beautiful songs dear Jaia!! To sample, download & purchase the Pure Divinity CD go to: CD Baby or itunes
RIGHTS OF MOTHER NATURE
Mother Earth is always radiant … though certainly no more so than on a warm sunny Solstice at the South Yuba River. Summer has arrived once again in the Northern Hemisphere. Near my home outside Nevada City, CA water flows through the South Yuba River canyon have slowed significantly. The river affectionately known “Momma Yuba” is shallow and quiet in most areas. Turrets formed from rock outcroppings cause small eddies and whirlpools that break the stillness and yet add to the serenity. Rays of brilliant sun bounce off sculpted boulders and her shallow waters.
In Spring the river thunders through this same canyon burying many of the granite pillars forming the river bed. In this quiet moment her Spring rush feels like an eon ago. I am reminded Momma Yuba is the source of life for our community. We are one with her. Her radiance is our radiance. For eons of time the cycles of life force through this canyon have repeated themselves over and over. Blessed is this canyon, blessed am I.
