“The Work” by Byron Katie. Full worksheet More information on her teachings: Click here. The Work of Byron Katie is a way of identifying and questioning the thoughts that cause all the fear, frustration, and suffering in the world. Experience the happiness of undoing those thoughts through The Work, and allow your mind to return to its true, awakened, peaceful, creative nature.
Byron Katie – The work
1. Is it true?
2. Can you absolutely know that it’s true?
3. How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought?
4. Who would you be without the thought?
Turn the thought around. Then find at least three specific, genuine examples of how each turnaround is true for you in this situation.

“I discovered that when I believed my thoughts, I suffered, but that when I didn’t believe them, I didn’t suffer, and that this is true for every human being. Freedom is as simple as that. I found that suffering is optional. I found a joy within me that has never disappeared, not for a single moment. That joy is in everyone, always.” — Byron Katie

Tom Kenyon: A Hathor Planetary Message
The Transformation of Self-limiting Thought Forms and Beliefs
Right when I was leaving to go visit the sacred tree Tule in Oaxaca, I checked my emails and there was this email from Tom Kenyon. I had just spent the past two days working on this newsletter about transforming our limiting beliefs! What great synchronicity!! I pay attention when things like that occur. In 2004 I went to Tibet with Tom and his partner Judi. I have studied sound healing from Tom as well as doing work around the Divine Feminine with him. I greatly admire and value his work. Last night and again this morning I did the 5 minute meditation he has given and is free to download. There is also a longer 30 minute sound meditation. Access Tom Kenyon’s Sound Meditations HERE
Jalaja Bonheims – The Descent of Inana
The work of going into our shadow to see it and release it reminds me very much of the myth of The Descent of Inana… She is the Queen of Heaven but must go to the underworld and surrender everything, her jewels, clothing, power and even her life being hung on a meat hook and is then resurrected and is the Queen of Heaven. Jalaja Bonheim has a powerful guided meditation HERE
When you are living your most authentic life connected to your heart and your deepest and dearest passions. Explore, what lights you up? What excites you? Where does time disappear because you are so engrossed in what you are doing? What made you different when you were younger and others may have teased you causing pain and you hid this part of yourself? Who are the people you love to be with where you feel like you can be your most true self? Who are the people and what situations cause you to feel uncomfortable and where you find you start losing yourself?
Tool 1: The Elbow: This writing assignment is named after the man who invented it, I think his name is Joseph Elbow. It is an amazing tool for being able to really access some deep places in your subconscious and it is really easy to do. It should take about 40 – 45 minutes.
You write a title at the top of a page of paper –”What does my most authentic Self and Life look like? (if another title calls out to you please follow your guidance and use it).
Set the timer for 10 minutes…. You write the title of what you are writing about at the top of a page of paper and then just write as fast as you can in a stream of consciousness just letting whatever wants to come through to do so. When the timer rings at the end of 10 minutes you stop writing and read what you wrote and underline one line that jumps out at you. Take that one line that jumped out and put it at the top of a clean piece of paper and repeat the process, setting the timer for 10 minutes and writing quickly in a stream of consciousness. When the timer rings you stop writing and read what you wrote once again underlining one sentence and putting it at the top of a clean piece of paper and repeating the process for the third and final time. You should be quite amazed at where you started and where you ended!!!
Tool 2: Ask yourself what is your next step and then sit in silence for 15 minutes each day, listening for your guidance. Make sure to write it down after so you remember the wisdom you were given.
Resources for Clearing Old Beliefs and Freeing Ourselves:
Part of cleaning and clearing away the past is forgiveness. Not forgiving is like wanting to give the person who has wronged us a glass of poison but we are the one drinking it, not them. Not forgiving is holding cords of what has happened to us to the person and to the event from the past. It is important to remember to forgive is not to condone what has taken place. It is to let go. A simple and powerful form of forgiveness is the Ho’oponopono mantra: I am sorry, Please forgive me, I love you, I thank you. Watch a video meditation HERE.
New Moons and Full Moons:
New moons are a time to plant the seeds of your dearest intentions you wish to bring into creation. The best time to do this is within a few days before the new moon. You can write them down, light a candle, go outside and ask the dark moon – the new moon for what you most want. You can create a way that works best for you. It is during the time of the new moon that the sun and moon are right next to each other in the zodiac chart. The only time during the month! I always like to imagine them as lovers at this time coming together and actually impregnating our intentions!
The full moon is the time for releasing and letting go. From the time of the new moon she has been waxing or getting bigger and bigger until she is full. Now at the full point she will start to wane and get smaller. This is a letting go time, a time for releasing. What old beliefs and old wounds are you ready to let go of and release. Work with the full moon and as she wanes to do this.
Working with a tree for transforming an old story old belief:
Doing this work with a tree comes from indigenous wisdom. A tree is an amazing being to work with in releasing and transforming an old story or belief. You can go to a tree and first ask permission of the tree if she/he is willing to work with you. Listen for your answer. If you get a “yes” you can tell the tree your old story/old belief you are so ready to let go of. You believed this but now know it is not true, it is not who you are. Simply ask: “Please dear tree will you take this old story, this old belief and transform it and clear it, dissolve it, thank you.” Then let go of that belief and story like pushing the delete button on your computer.
“The Presence Process” by Michael Brown
This is a book that helps you to move into present moment awareness. It is also about integrating imprints from your past so they are no longer triggers and sapping your energy. It helps to bring you in to wholeness. It is a 10 week process that you go through.
Love and gratitude:
Now that you have a clean and clear place it is important to fill this space with your clear intentions. To fill this space with love for yourself and for others. Find ways that specifically nurture yourself. Ways that you can show yourself love and appreciation. Everything starts within and then radiates out. As you wake up in the morning let your first thoughts be of all that you are grateful for. For me waking up to the birds singing is such a huge gift to my heart that I am so fully grateful for. The beauty of the jacaranda trees with their purple blossoms everywhere I look. Flowers, smiles, fun Mexican music playing here. And then as you fall to sleep, once again close the day with all you are grateful for and as many times during the day that you can remember. Where ever you hold your attention that is what is increasing and growing.
